Alison Dimick Malkhassian
Principal
Alara Ventures was founded in 2012 by Alison Dimick Malkhassian. Her vision was to provide a platform from which to invest in multifamily real estate using a strategy honed over her successful twenty-five year career in multifamily investing. Through her experience across multiple capital platforms including investment banking, pension fund advisory, publicly traded REITs, and private equity; she knows first-hand the behavior and roles of capital markets in real estate investing. Likewise, her career-long specialty in multifamily investments gives her the knowledge from which to identify opportunities within all real estate cycles: nationally and locally.
Prior to forming Alara Ventures, she served as an officer and Senior Vice President of Camden Property Trust, where she led acquisitions, dispositions, research, and portfolio management for the company. As a voting member of the Investment Committee at Camden she approved in excess of $1 billion in multifamily developments in addition to acquisitions and dispositions.

Will Florence
Vice President
of Investments
Will Florence joined Alara Vantures in early 2018 from Streetwise Land where his specialty was representing both buyers and sellers of raw land with a focus on the Greater Houston area. Florence specialized in site selection, project management, and land development.
Before joining Streetwise Land, Will served as an office tenant representative for California-based Lee & Associates; prior to which he worked in the oil and gas industry as an independent landman leasing mineral rights throughout Texas.
Florence graduated from the University of Alabama in 2009 with a degree in Entrepreneurship.
Timothy Probert
Advisor
Mr. Probert is a Senior Advisor to First Reserve, a global private equity investment firm exclusively focused on energy. During 2014, Mr. Probert served as Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Haliburton and was a member of Haliburton’s Executive Committee. Prior to that, he served as its President of Strategy & Corporate Development. Prior to that, he was President of Haliburton’s Global Business Lines, responsible for overseeing both Haliburton operating divisions. Prior to joining Haliburton, he was President and CEO of Ion Geophysical Corporation (formerly Input/Output), a provider of technology-driven solutions to the oil and gas industry, and before that spent 27 years with various operating units of Baker-Hughes Incorporated including President of Baker-Hughes Intec.
Mr. Probert is a director of True Oil, LLC, a privately owned company with interests in oil and gas and a former director of El Paso Company, formerly a natural gas and pipeline company .He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and geography from the University of London.
Cindy Robertson
Associate – Accounting
& Investor Relations
Ms Robertson joined Alara Ventures in March of 2013. She is responsible for corporate and partnership accounts, as well as investor relations.
Prior to joining Alara Ventures Ms. Robertson was a partner in Bass Rock Consulting, an advanced process control company that was founded in 1998. Her responsibilities at Bass Rock Consulting included the management of all accounting, HR and administrative functions.
Born and educated in the UK, she has lived in Houston since 1994. She is an avid runner/marathoner and has a keen interest in photography.
